Anna Hazare is regarded as another Mahatma for India

   Lokpal is a Sanskrit word  which means protector. Lokapala refers to people with democratic view. The Lokpal Bill was trying to uproot since 1968 and was introduced in 1969, in order to fight corruption away from India. Later it was again drafted in 1971 which did not have any response from the govt. After few years  in 1977 it was again passed but the bill was not recognised. Lokpal tried to take a stand in Lok Sabha in 1985, 1989, 1996,2001,2005,2008 all were a failure.

Now, at recent times, the people have realized after one of the DMK  minister A. Raja, former IT minister indulged in 2G spectrum scam and Kalmadi in CWG scam. So, common people have realized their role in the highly corrupted country, and  play a crucial as citizens of India along with Anna to pass the bill. Anna was imprisoned for 2 days while he was in fast.  Since all are corrupted in the centre including PM of India Dr. Manmohan Singh  they are protesting against the bill. Anna requested the govt. to form a Lokpal Committee. This issue was under discussion for few days and the parliament dismissed the idea. Supporters of Anna have become furious. According to the govt. corruption has reached its peak henceforth the bill will not be effective. Anna asked them to pass the bill on August 15, 2011. For this reason Anna was behind bars in Tihar Jail. Supporters of Anna protested in front of the prison. The social activist is on fast in Ram lila ground , Delhi along with Kiran Bedi and others.

Anna has announced that by Aug 30 the bill has to be passed or else Congress has to decide its fate. Anna Hazare is in the 8th day of fast. The anti – corruption crusader is strongly determined to achieve the Lokpal Bill. Kejriwal, a member of Team Anna said Jan Lokpal Bill copies had been given to  Parliamentary Standing Commitee Chairman Abhishek, to his secretary & few MPs’.Anna’s supporters gathered in front of  Pranab Mukerjee, Finance Minister’s home in order to protest and the police personnels arrested  them for the same.

Anna Team ended their 12 day fast and trimphed with joy on Sunday after hearing from the PM  that his demands will be discussed once again in the parliament. He strongly pointed out that he has suspended the fast and not ended it.

Hazare Ends Fast After The GOI Is Ready To Talk

In my opinion, Lokpal Bill will bring a change in the country. Laws and bills will surely change the attitudes of corrupt politicians in India. The youths’ in the country have arose against the black mark in the society. Not only Anna and his team but as citizens of India every one has a role to play in this aspect.

We must join hands for the cause as one and destroy the term Corruption from India. Sab haat jhodke iis karm ko dur dalege
