CORRUPTION IN INDIA AND THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN COMBATTING CORRUPTION (Part 2)

Corruption? Corruption is a black mark in our Indian economy. It is slowly stopping the growth of our country. The term corruption is in born in the society. The word is prevalent among the politicians and government offices. Corruption is defined as a way of saving wealth for the family and for their personal use. The people who indulge in corruption are also aware of the societal damage they create. But because of their greed they become money buglers.

The concept came into existence when people thought of their well- being and not about the people, below poverty line (BPL). 2G Scam in Tamil Nadu during the tenure of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has blown up like a balloon and has put former Tele communication Minister A. Raja . We can shortly say corruption is a way of accumulating wealth.
Last year , in 2010 the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Ashok Chawan was held in Aadarsh Society scams for which he was chucked out from post of Chief Ministership. He accumulated wealth for his family members.
Corruption has been a hindrance for the people in villages where lack of awareness plays a vital role. Grt leaders like C.N. Anna Durai, Kamaraj, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,Joti Basu, leader of Communist Party   thought of the well – being of the public and worked for the growth of the state / country. These great leaders had one motive – Serve the People, Die for the People. Kamaraj was the person who introduced the mid-day meal scheme in schools, so that all children are educated.

But in the present scenario the goodness of leaders has vanished and they have started to experience the money they earn. These days leaders aim at earning money rather than goodwill from the public.

Corruption is prevalent in all fields starting from politicians to educational institutions. This prevails in small to big issues. For example ration shops where people of lower middle class come to get their provision at a nominal rates but ration shop seller sells his commodities at a high price in order to gain profit.

Youth of the society have greater responsibilities in combating corruption. Though we are aware of this phenomenon we are negligent towards this issue. We, the uprising young citizens of India should join hands as one and battle against corruption . The youth of the country must spread awareness in rural areas & make our citizens equipped with knowledge about this burning issue. Even now many citizens in India are ignorant about Right To Information.

Measures To Combat Corruption by Young Blood

1. Conduct Human Chain Rallies in public spots.

2. Have to campaign for Anti - Corruption in India

3. File cases against the local heads in the locality if they are found guilty.

4. Conduct public awareness programs on corruption in the locality.

5. Advice the common folks not to indulge in giving bribe to the authorities for it is the duty of concerned authority to proceed over the issue brought to their knowledge.

Anna Hazare is an social activist who has requested the govt. of India to pass a Bill against corruption . He was in fast for 3 long days to combat corruption in India. The Bill came to be known as Lokpal Bill in discussion with the govt. Central ministers of the country such as Finance Minister, Pranab Mukerjee , Home Minister P. Chidambaram and many other ministers where part of this discussion in regard to combating corruption. The govt. has agreed for the demand of Anna Hazare.

Support Anna Hazare for the Cause.

Youths are considered the strength of the country.

We The Citizens Of India Should Join Hands And Fight Against Corruption

My Philosophy

Philosophy is the principles we pursue and follow in our life.

Each individual will have principles of his own to follow and live accordingly. My principle is to serve the needy and change the societal awareness about importance of education in rural areas, satisfying basic needs and lot more.

We must share resources with every one . We should not spend the resources lavishly. Animals should not be ill-treated and instead took care of . Life is filled with happiness and sorrows . Leave the bad , take the good. My philosophy in life is to help those who are in need. Whenever I come across children belonging to slums I feel I should help those children who are let down by the society. We must reach the down trodden people till the extent we can. I wish to serve people below poverty till I can reach. We must empower the people toiling to live their life.

Education of poor children and awareness of education to people will lead India to greater heights. Child labor should be completely abolished. My philosophy is to make my locality a powerful one.

If each individual decides to serve his locality in needs and deeds India can reach.

Karnataka Tour

We around 85 students with our H.O.D.Mr.JeyaChandran went on an educational tour to Coorg & Mysore. We stayed in S.K. Continental at Mysore and Mahalashmi Residency in Coorg. It was a grt fun there. Mr. Balaji a travel agent was the tour manager. The scenery in Coorg was implicit. The climate was also very pleasant with cool breeze from all side. The cloudy atmosphere and the rains splashed with happiness. The water droplets on the leaves in the early mornings looked amazing and the fog which covered the trees with a white layer looked beautiful.

We visited Tibetar Golden Temple where we found a lot of Buddhist monks. The temple was a massive one. We had a chat with the monks there. They have planted rose and grasses. While they shook in the air it seemed to me as if they were welcoming and wishing us all the best. I learnt abt their beliefs and lot more. The place was surrounded by high walls.

We reached the hotel for stay in the late afternoon. And in the night they had organized for a camp fire where Rev. Fr. Joseph Antonysamy gave a brief note on St. Ignecius of Loyola and the founder of Society of Jesus (SJ). Thereafter we danced with joy and returned back to the destination for rest.

The nxt day, we went to Abi falls which was surrounded by hills. The falls was located miles far away. The place was breezy. Though I was not able to go near the falls I njoyed view of the scenery & it looked awesome. From there we went to Chamundi hills. The hills from above looked fantastic. The clouds looked near as if its coming down. Thala Cauvary is a boat resort in Coorg. The fresh water is flowing with joyfulness. .

The following day, our crew went to Dobera Forest ..There we saw deer . The forest was dense. The forest was sloppy and it seemed to me that we are going on a trekking . On the day, we visited tomb of Hyder Ali & Tippu Sultan in Mysore . In the evening we were engaged in light & music show @ Brindavan Gardens. The colorful fountains looked awesome while the fountain danced along with the tune .

This tour gave us a good exposure and a nice experience. I learnt many things. Every one has to visit Mysore and Coorg at least once in their life time.

Corruption - A Dangerous Weapon

Introduction

Corruption exists in all levels. People become slaves to this act. This is prevalent even in educational institutions in the name of donations. India has come to a stage where without bribe works to be carried out remains pending. This prevails in every nook and corner of our country. Corruption is nothing but benefit for a particular individual.

Meaning of Corruption :

Corruption is defined by the World Bank and Transparency International (TI) as “the misuse of public office for private gain. This distorts the performance of the government.

Here is a short story about Corruption:

Once upon a time there lived a father with two children in a town. He was working with a private concern. They were living a decent life for years. One day the father was arrested by the police in suspicion of receiving bribe of Rs. 100. He was put behind bars. The father was very anxious about his children’s future . Though they were in their relative’s home they were suffering a lot. They were relegated in their relatives home

The Judge’s Decision :

When the two children went and requested for their father’s release both of them were ill-treated. Though he was good outside he was a corrupted person. He asked a sum of R. 1000 in order to release their father.

How To Reduce Corruption:

Citizens must be educated in anti- corruption and the central government should take steps to eradicate corruption. The new sprouting young citizen can abolish corruption in the following ways :

• We can conduct anti – corruption programs to educate the illiterates in rural areas.

• 5 Pillars is doing fabulous job of promoting 0 currency notes in order to make the poor realize that       giving  bribe to government officials will restrict the improvement of the country .

• There has to be accountability for all the money spent. So that we can have corruption- free India.

Conclusion:

The Government Of India must take necessary action in order to eradicate corruption in our country. If we are careless we gona destroy the growth of India. Let us join hands & work to abolish thorns (corruption) in the society. It is the responsibility of the youth to make India a corruption free society.

REMAKING THE WORLD

Introduction :

Science and religion are very old concepts understood by man. Let us now see how do science and religion look at the world. We must rethink whether science is superior or religion .

                                                 GRAVITY

Science

Science plays a crucial role in this modern world . Due to new inventions people are keen to know about new technologies. As we know Sir Isac Newton was a the inventor of gravity before him no one must have known why an object falls down . Science creates a new thought amongst us . From the beginning till now, science helps us in every aspect of life. Though it is bane to the society at the same time it is also a boon . Science destroys the world by inventing atom bomb , missiles and powerful guns like AK47 etc . Science is helpful for launching Chandrayan , Satellite Launch Vehicle and lot more . According to an American writer Joan Didion we tell stories to ourselves in order to live . Of all our stories , it is the scientific ones that most define us . Science is mode of knowledge which creates a societal awareness. Although we perceive science as a ultimate truth , it is ultimately just a story, told in instalments . It is used in all walks of life. Hence it is a source of light for us .

                                                                       TECHNOLOGY

Religion

After science had intervened religion is losing its importance in the society . Though we say story of creation even God has used science to create Adam and Eve . Hence forth science and religion are very old concepts . In India there are three important religions such as Christianity , Islam , Hinduism . All religions insists on only one right that is equality. Religion creates unity amidst people . As science , religion was also created . Hinduism is the oldest religion in India . Hindus believe in idol worship and Christians and Muslims believe in only one God . It shapes our life style . It creates a feeling of guilt when we believe that God is present everywhere . It helps us to create good habits and cultivates an interest towards doing good to others . There are atheists who do not believe in God . Hence I would like to conclude by saying, both science and religion are important for us to live .

                                                             JESUS CHRIST

                                                                    LORD GANESH

                                                                           ALLAH

RETHINK !!!!!!!!!

Grow science to improve the standard of the country & to destroy it.

Grow religion to develop unity  amongst people & caste should not be a hindrance

Time Parable

Introduction:

Time is a concept which was introduced prior God created living things in this world . In the ancient times people used to say time according to the direction of the sun. After some years a manual clock was introduced. But now there are electronic clocks which saves time of man .

Time Management:

God has provided us with 24 hours a day in which we have to perform several activities. In this modern society we run out of time because we have to perform various activities . If we prepare time table it helps us to identify our progress in our work. We have to plan our schedule in such a way  that we are able to complete our duty. The basic principle to manage time is “we have to know our responsibility and work to achieve the goal". Time is one factor which motivates us to work .It drives us to success.

Quotes About Time Management
